Leadership Development

ESC’s leadership development services are designed to enhance the skills of chief executives and senior managers as leaders of their organizations. Over the course of the engagement, clients develop the leadership, skills, and subject-area expertise that will enhance the effectiveness of the executive and their organization.

Executive Coaching

ESC's executive coaches work with senior managers to meet their individual needs, providing a sounding board, personal support, and the benefit of their training and expertise to help the client identify issues, create strategies, and develop new skills, knowledge, and approaches that help move the leader and the organization forward. While often the benefit of executive coaching is the dedicated time for the executive to engage deeply with a thought partner, coaches may also work with a client on any of the following:

  • Leadership and general management skills
  • Relationships with boards, committees, volunteers, and key stakeholders
  • Networking, delegation, and team-building
  • Planning, priority-setting, and time management
  • Supervision and development of subordinates
  • Effective meeting planning
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Other specific skills as requested (e.g., government relations, finance, human resources, evaluation)
