The Project
David & Margaret Youth and Family Services tapped into Executive Service Corps’ fund development expertise by participating in our Developing Development Program.
Developing Development is a yearlong program that helps to improve fundraising effectiveness and develop a solid foundation for fund development success, particularly in the area of individual giving.
The program − offered either individually or as part of a course with other agency participants − focuses on creating the tools, systems and supports that will foster a fundraising culture to further the organization’s mission.
As with our leadership institutes, executive coaching is the key component that helps participants put their learning into action and achieve success.
The Result
Our association with ESC and the Developing Development Program has provided us with many useful tools. We have acquired techniques to help us build, maintain and cultivate donor and advocate relationships. We were provided understandable, relevant and applicable tools and were able to hone skills to competently engage and involve donors, board members and supporters to better assist with our mission.
Our assigned consultant has been wonderful and helped us in so many ways. His expertise, guidance and sense of humor has allowed us to improve our strategic planning process, initiate and refine an overall development plan and improve our donor database, all while revitalizing board member involvement.
