Strategic Planning
The Project
Age Well Senior Services worked with ESC to develop a five-year strategic plan that would refine and implement the organization’s vision in response to the diverse needs of a burgeoning senior population. Two ESC consultants conducted interviews with stakeholders, surveyed seniors receiving services, provided a detailed organizational analysis, and helped Age Well’s staff and Board create and implement a concrete, long-term plan with aligned near-term action steps that enhanced the agency’s effectiveness and its capacity to respond to changing circumstances.
ESC’s management consulting services are highly flexible and customized for each agency, addressing clients’ most pressing organizational needs in the context of their sector-specific issues. Working closely with our management consultants on appropriate problem-solving strategies and receiving support during the crucial implementation phase, nonprofit leaders can successfully tackle strategic planning as well as financial management, human resources, public relations, program evaluation, or operations issues.
The Result
Our two ESC consultants were very dedicated to this project, not only doing an in-depth study of issues facing the seniors of the community today, but also the issues that could occur in the future.
With their assistance, we successfully changed our mission, vision, and value statements. This project helped our current Board take more responsibility for governance and outcomes. After forming three new Board committees, we are more prepared to take action in order to take our mission to impact.
The Board received the final report from the ESC consultants at their annual retreat. Everyone was very pleased with the whole process and the Board has rededicated themselves to our organization and goals.
